Swedish Massage

swedish massage

Swedish Massage is considered to be an invigorating massage. It will take place on a couch using various products, oils, cream or talc power to lubricate the skin. It stimulates the circulation and aids the removal of toxins, which build up in the body. A full session lasts approximately one hour and involves the legs, back, arms, shoulders and neck. Shorter sessions can be arranged concentrating on particular problem areas.

How will my Swedish Massage session be conducted?

Firstly a detailed assessment (consultation) including observation of body posture and mobility, will be carried out.

You will undress (in private) down to briefs, then lie on a couch and cover yourself with towels. Only the part of the body massaged is exposed.

It is important that you remain relaxed at all times, as the massage provided gives greater benefit under those conditions. Modesty is preserved at all times

Joints, particularly those of the limbs, may also be manipulated and gently stretched. Before you leave you will be advised to drink plenty of fluids (avoid alcohol and caffeine).

Any special home advice will be supplied and you will be asked to complete and sign a treatment form. This will be kept as a record of the treatment you were given.
